Tiger Brands is looking for a reliable General Worker / Packer to support our day‑to‑day production operations. This role focuses on ensuring product quality, safety, and efficiency at our Maitland facility.

Key Responsibilities

Production Preparation & Support

• Prepare packaging materials and equipment (tape guns, pallets, wrapping materials) before production starts.
• Carry out daily production tasks and manual activities to meet operational targets.
• Assist with safe and efficient start‑up, shutdown, and changeover processes.
• Monitor packing machines and stop lines when the operator is absent.

Quality, Safety & Compliance

• Maintain compliance with all Quality, Safety, GMP, and Food Safety standards.
• Escalate any production issues such as material defects, safety risks, incidents, or stoppages.
• Keep excellent housekeeping in line with GMP and 5S requirements.
• Adhere to site‑specific policies, procedures, and quality standards.

Packing & Product Handling

• Pack accurate product quantities into boxes and ensure proper sealing.
• Stack products onto pallets in the correct format.
• Continuously check date codes, packaging quality, and sealing integrity.
• Stop the packing line if out‑of‑specification product or infestation is detected.

Operational Excellence

• Support loss capturing for production losses.
• Contribute to MECP requirements, including teamwork, PMC, focused improvement, and other pillar activities.
• Manage waste collection and keep work areas orderly.
• Report absenteeism or time‑and‑attendance issues to supervisors or HR.
