Position Overview
Job Title: TB Support Officer (81 Positions)
Location: eThekwini District, KwaZulu-Natal
Employment Type: Fixed-Term Contract (Renewable based on funding/performance)

Project Background
Join the National Department of Health Global Fund Tuberculosis Project to strengthen community-based TB detection, treatment adherence, and health education in underserved communities.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct active TB case-finding through household/community visits
- Screen and test high-risk populations including household contacts and people living with HIV
- Tracing patients who missed treatment initiations or follow-ups
- Provide adherence counseling and treatment support
- Document activities using digital reporting tools
- Collaborate with healthcare facilities and community leaders
- Distribute educational materials about TB prevention
Required Qualifications
- Matric/Grade 12 Certificate (Essential)
- Community Health Worker certification (Preferred)
Experience Requirements
- 1+ years in health promotion/community outreach
- Experience working with TB/HIV programs (Advantageous)
Key Competencies
- Proficient in mobile data collection tools
- Strong communication in local languages (IsiZulu required)
- Conflict resolution and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
