GAUTENG COLLEGE OF NURSING: 2026 DIPLOMA IN NURSING INTAKE

The Gauteng College of Nursing invites dedicated candidates to apply for its 2026 Diploma in Nursing program at four accredited campuses: Ann Latsky Campus, Chris Hani Baragwanath Campus, SG Lourens Campus, and Bonalesedi Campus. This comprehensive training program prepares students for healthcare leadership with hands-on clinical experience.

ADMISSION REQUIREMENTS

• Citizenship: South African residents of Gauteng Province
• Education: One of the following qualifications:
  • Senior Certificate: English HG D/SG C, Biology HG D/SG C, Mathematics HG D/SG C (M-Score ≥17)
  • National Senior Certificate: English Level 4, Life Sciences Level 4, Mathematics Level 4/ML Level 5 (APS ≥27 with LO at half score)
  • National Vocational Certificate: 50% in English, Math/Math Literacy, Life Orientation + 60% in Healthcare, Public Health, Human Biology
  • Current Grade 12 learners may apply with Grade 11 results meeting NSC criteria

APPLICATION PROCESS

• Deadline: September 26, 2024 (strictly enforced)
• Platform: Exclusively online via GPG Professional Job Centre
• Steps:
  1. Register a profile on the system
  2. Upload scanned certificates (Senior/NSC/NVC or Grade 11/12 transcripts)
  3. Shortlisted candidates must present original documents during selection

PROGRAM DETAILS

Successful applicants will:

• Sign a service agreement with Gauteng Department of Health
• Complete Work Integrated Learning (WIL) including night shifts, weekends, and public holidays
• Participate in mandatory psychometric assessments and medical evaluations
