About the Program

The 12‑month learnership at RCL Foods is a partnership with the Supreme Siyabhaka Academy. It combines on‑the‑job training, mentorship and coaching to cover the full baking process. By the end of the program, successful candidates receive a formal qualification that is accredited by the South African Qualifications Authority (SAQA) and endorsed by a Skills and Training Authority (SETA).

Through this program we aim to:

  • Develop young talent and produce employable baking professionals.
  • Promote our baking brands as leaders in quality and consistency.
  • Raise industry standards for bakery products and strengthen customer relationships.

Learning Opportunities

During the learnership, you will gain hands‑on experience in all aspects of baking, from dough preparation to finished product quality control. The mentorship component will guide you in applying best practices, troubleshooting production issues, and learning industry‑standard equipment operation.

Minimum Requirements

  • Grade 12 certificate with studies in hospitality and mathematics (literacy).
  • Computer skills (MS Office) are an added advantage.
  • Motivated to achieve high performance and continuously improve.
  • Willingness to learn, grow and apply creative, lateral thinking to problem‑solving.
