Rand Water is looking for a skilled and dependable Driver to transport staff and equipment safely and keep all vehicles clean and roadworthy.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 or National Senior Certificate
- Minimum 3 years of relevant driving experience
- Valid Code EB Driver’s License (must pass Rand Water’s K53 driving test)
- Valid Public Driver’s Permit (PDP)
Key Responsibilities
- Transport personnel, tools, and equipment to various destinations safely.
- Maintain vehicles in a clean, safe, and roadworthy condition at all times.
- Plan transport schedules and ensure vehicles are available when needed.
- Carry out daily and weekly vehicle inspections and report any faults.
- Manage petty cash responsibly when required.
- Respond to internal customer transport requests in a professional manner.
- Complete and maintain transportation schedules within the mechanical section.
Knowledge Required
- Awareness of the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
- Familiarity with road traffic laws and regulations.
