About MQA
The Mining Qualifications Authority (MQA) is a Sector Education and Training Authority that supports skills development and mine health & safety in South Africa’s mining sector. We operate under both the Department of Higher Education & Training and Department of Mineral Resources & Energy.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage administrative processes for artisan/non-artisan learnership programs
- Handle learner enrollment for OHS, FLC, AET, RPL and Artisan Aides projects
- Evaluate and register learning program agreements
- Maintain digital records using SIMS management information system
- Coordinate events and meetings for Learning Programmes Unit
- Provide customer service to internal/external stakeholders
- Assist with travel arrangements and document control
Requirements
Essential Qualifications:
- Grade 12/Matric Certificate
- National Diploma (NQF 6) in HR Development, Public Administration, or related field
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree (NQF 7) in relevant field
Key Competencies:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Understanding of skills development legislation
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
- Detail-oriented with proactive work approach
- Ability to work under pressure
