- Mathematics: E (Higher Grade) or D (Standard Grade)
Post-2008 Matriculants (NSC)
- National Senior Certificate with Diploma Pass
- Minimum 25 points (excluding Life Orientation)
- English Level 4
- Mathematics Level 3 or Maths Literacy Level 5
- Life Sciences/Physical Science Level 4
- Life Orientation Level 4 (mandatory but not scored)
