Position Overview
A vacancy has arisen for a Receptionist/Cashier at Linex Lynnwood, reporting directly to the Dealer Principal. This role is the first point of contact for our customers and visitors, making it essential for creating a welcoming and professional impression. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing front desk operations, assisting with customer enquiries, handling cash transactions, and providing general administrative support.
Key Responsibilities
Customer Service & Front Desk Management
- Meet and greet all customers and visitors in a friendly and professional manner.
- Direct customers to the appropriate departments or staff members.
- Answer and route all incoming telephone calls, take accurate messages, and respond to general enquiries.
- Ensure the reception area is always tidy and presents a welcoming atmosphere.
Staff & Attendance Administration
- Monitor and record staff movements in and out of the dealership.
- Maintain an accurate and up-to-date attendance register.
- Provide basic HR administrative support to management related to staff attendance.
Cashier & Banking Duties
- Process customer payments via cash, card, or electronic funds transfer (EFT).
- Issue receipts and ensure all financial records are accurately maintained.
- Perform daily banking and reconciliation of all cash received.
- Handle all company monies securely and in strict accordance with company policies.
Events & General Administration
- Assist in the organisation and coordination of company events, product launches, and promotional activities.
- Liaise with suppliers, customers, and internal staff regarding event requirements and logistics.
- Prepare and distribute event communications, invitations, and other related materials.
- Provide general administrative support to various departments as required.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 certificate or equivalent qualification.
- Basic computer literacy.
- Previous experience in a receptionist or cashier role is highly advantageous.
- Basic knowledge of banking and cash handling procedures.
- Experience in event coordination will be beneficial.
Experience
At least 1 year of experience in a similar role is required.
