As a Workplace Experience Student in the People team at Tiger Brands, you will gain hands-on experience in a dynamic environment. In your role within the Talent, Learning, and Leadership Development functional work stream, you will provide timely and accurate administrative support to the team. You will collaborate closely with various portfolio specialists to organize and deliver planned programs in Talent, Learning, and Leadership Development to stakeholders across the business. This position offers a great opportunity for recent graduates to build practical skills in human resources while contributing to meaningful initiatives that support employee growth and development.

What You Will Do

Your day-to-day responsibilities will involve a range of administrative and support tasks to ensure smooth operations within the Talent, Learning, and Leadership Development team. Specifically, you will:

  • Handle all transactional activities that fall under the responsibility of your functional work stream, ensuring everything is processed efficiently and accurately.
  • Provide essential administrative support to the Talent, Learning, and Leadership Development (TL & LD) team by communicating with stakeholders about upcoming events or activities scheduled by the team.
  • Follow up on invitations for event attendance, maintain a detailed register of who attends and who does not, and report on participation levels.
  • Schedule meetings and events as requested by the TL & LD team, coordinating dates, times, venues, and logistics to meet everyone’s needs.
  • Participate in regular team meetings, invite relevant stakeholders to TL & LD functional work stream events, encourage active participation, and gather feedback from the business whenever required.
  • Keep business teams informed about any changes in scheduled events or response timelines to avoid disruptions and ensure smooth communication.
  • Continuously update all stakeholders on process changes, system updates, and any other relevant matters related to Talent, Learning, and Leadership Development, as directed or requested by the team.
  • Deliver high-quality HR administrative services that are continuously improved to meet evolving business needs and enhance overall efficiency.

Qualifications Required

To be considered for this Workplace Experience Student position, you will need:

  • A degree in Business, Human Resources, or a related field. This qualification will provide the foundational knowledge needed to support TL & LD initiatives.
  • Functional knowledge of Microsoft Excel, including skills in data management, spreadsheets, and basic reporting to handle administrative tasks efficiently.
