About the Role
The Department of Social Development seeks a motivated and organized Administration Clerk to provide essential support in logistical services. This position offers a valuable opportunity to develop administrative skills and contribute to the efficient delivery of public services.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide general clerical support services across the department.
- Assist with supply chain clerical duties, including inventory management and procurement documentation.
- Support personnel administration tasks, such as recording attendance and maintaining personnel files.
- Contribute to financial administration activities, including expense tracking and processing reimbursements.
- Participate in additional duties as assigned by the department.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Senior Certificate) or equivalent qualification.
Preferred Experience
- Relevant administrative experience is advantageous but not mandatory.
Core Competencies
- Strong understanding of clerical duties and data capture.
- Proven computer literacy in standard office software.
- Excellent planning, organisation, and time‑management skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication.
- Flexibility and sound decision‑making ability.
- Effective presentation skills.
Remuneration
Salary range: R 228,321 – R 268,950 per annum (Salary Level 5). The package may include medical assistance, housing assistance, pension‑fund contributions, and other benefits as outlined in applicable agreements.
