Position Summary

As a Washing Crew Worker, you will support the maintenance of our poultry houses, ensuring they meet the highest standards of hygiene, bio‑security, and animal welfare. You will work closely with the veterinary and production teams to keep our facilities clean, safe, and ready for daily operations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Wash poultry houses to meet regulatory requirements.
  • Assist with vaccination, selection, and transfer of birds.
  • Apply lime salt mixtures to designated areas.
  • Ensure all visitors comply with site bio‑security procedures.
  • Fumigate all equipment and items entering and exiting the site.
  • Maintain ground conditions (cutting grass, weeding, and cleaning electric fences).
  • Follow all bio‑security protocols at all times.
  • Adhere to 20 Keys standards and animal welfare standards during bird transfer or depopulation.
  • Maintain compliance with OHSA (Occupational Health and Safety Act) standards.
  • Support overall product quality, hygiene, and bio‑security efforts.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • High school (Grade 12) education or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a poultry setting.
  • Passionate, self‑motivated, and performance‑driven.
  • Team player with strong people skills.
  • Good administrative skills and ability to manage documents.
  • Pro‑active, accurate, and capable of working independently.
  • Availability for irregular hours and weekend duties.
