About the Role

This key support position provides general and administrative help to all leaders and staff across Verifone Africa, covering our two main locations in South Africa – Bryanston and Honeydew. You will help ensure smooth operations, effective coordination and compliance with all corporate rules.

Key Responsibilities

  • Board Administration
    • Schedule and coordinate quarterly board meetings.
    • Prepare and distribute agendas.
    • Take and draft accurate minutes.
    • Compile and maintain board packs.
  • Social and Ethics Committee (SEC)
    • Schedule quarterly SEC meetings.
    • Take minutes and prepare SEC packs.
    • Maintain records for compliance.
    • Facilitate communication between committee members (Board, HR Manager, Finance Manager).
  • Equity Employment Committee (EEC)
    • Support new requirements under South African labour legislation.
  • BBBEE Skills Development Coordination
    • Maximise BBBEE points through skills development.
    • Help manage the annual training budget (~ZAR 3.8 million).
    • Coordinate between managers, staff, training providers and Finance.
    • Source accredited training, negotiate costs and schedule sessions.
    • Track and report training spend and participation.
  • General Administrative & Business Support
    • Provide day‑to‑day admin help to the General Manager, Sales, Finance, Logistics and Engineering teams.
    • Organise internal and external meetings.
    • Support HR with company events.
    • Maintain documentation and communications to keep operations running smoothly.
    • Handle ad‑hoc tasks across all business areas.

Skills and Experience

  • Strong organisational and coordination skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Attention to detail and accurate documentation.
  • Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and priorities.
  • Knowledge of BBBEE compliance (plus).
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Relevant experience in a similar administrative role is desirable.
