About the Role
The Vat Rotator will work at the Wellington Distillery and support daily production activities. Responsibilities include:
- Loading and off‑loading barrels
- Filling and emptying barrels to/from maturation tanks
- Transferring and retrieving tanks
- Assisting with daily and weekly reconciliations
- Preparing samples for testing and organoleptic assessment
- Supporting the monthly bulk stock‑take process
- Executing tasks in line with company procedures and work instructions
- Maintaining OHS Act standards and excellent cellar hygiene
- Recording production tank samples accurately
- Applying strict loss control measures
- Participating in TPM Level 1 activities and problem‑solving sessions
Required Experience & Skills
- Grade 12 or equivalent
- Ability to work effectively under pressure with minimal supervision
- Knowledge of safety procedures and housekeeping standards (advantageous)
- Willingness to work extended hours or overtime when required
- Flexibility to perform ad hoc duties in other departments
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills
- Reliability in punctuality and attendance
- SKOP courses (advantageous)
