Van Assistant

Logistics Support Role

Support delivery operations for e-commerce distribution center serving the Western Cape region.

Daily Responsibilities

• Assist driver with navigation and route planning
• Load/unload parcels while verifying delivery notes
• Handle customer interactions and POD collection
• Maintain van cleanliness and safety standards
• Perform basic vehicle checks (oil, tires, lights)
• Manage handheld scanner for delivery confirmations

Requirements

• Grade 12 certificate
• Valid Code 8 driver’s license (advantageous)
• Physical fitness for lifting up to 25kg
• Basic smartphone proficiency
• Clean criminal record

Compensation Package

• Basic salary: R9,500 – R12,000/month
• Performance bonuses (on-time delivery metrics)
• Uniform and safety gear provided
• Overtime at 1.5x rate

Shift Pattern: 6am-4pm Monday-Friday + alternate Saturdays
