Job Overview
This learnership is part of Unilever’s Supply Chain team and focuses on automated packaging. The programme trains you to operate and maintain automated packaging equipment while respecting health, safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate line equipment and perform routine cleaning as per schedule.
- Carry out pre‑start checks to ensure equipment and area are ready for production.
- Monitor product and packaging quality against established standards and report any faults immediately.
- Identify and resolve process abnormalities swiftly to prevent escalation.
- Clean machinery following manufacturer guidelines and site specifications.
- Prepare and check raw materials for production use.
- Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and the team.
- Contribute to an eco‑efficient and sustainable workplace.
- Complete all learnership requirements, including assessments, logbook entries and assignments.
Required Qualifications
- National Senior Certificate (Matric) with a pass in Mathematics and Science.
- Alternatively, an N2/N3/N4 Engineering qualification.
