Job Description

TWK Agri is seeking an enthusiastic HR Trainee to join our Corporate Services team in Piet Retief. You will support the HR function by assisting with recruitment, HR administration, and maintaining HRIS records.

Job Summary

As an HR Trainee you will:

• Provide accurate and professional support to HR processes.
• Assist with drafting job descriptions, posting vacancies, screening applications, scheduling interviews, and conducting reference checks.
• Maintain accurate records in the SAGE 300 People system.
• Ensure compliance with HR policies and contribute to HR initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and update job descriptions for new and existing roles.
• Advertise vacancies on internal and external platforms with strong attention to detail.
• Screen CVs and prepare high‑quality shortlists.
• Schedule and conduct interviews when needed, providing timely candidate feedback.
• Conduct employment reference checks and MIE background verifications.
• Maintain detailed interview records for HR approval packs.
• Load new hire information into the SAGE 300 People system accurately and on time.
• Contribute to job profiling and HR system enhancements.

Qualifications & Skills

• Matric / Grade 12 (minimum).
• Diploma / Degree in Human Resources or a related field is advantageous.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Strong interest in recruitment and talent processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• High attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Ability to work under pressure in a dynamic, fast‑paced environment.
• Strong problem‑solving skills and adaptability to change.
• Proactive, reliable and eager to learn.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Bilingual in Afrikaans & English is advantageous.
• Driver’s Licence Code 08 is advantageous.
