About the Role
Tsebo Solutions Group is seeking a diligent and reliable Refreshment Attendant to join our team. This role is crucial in maintaining a clean, tidy, and welcoming office environment while providing excellent refreshment services to staff and visitors. The ideal candidate will be proactive, attentive to detail, and committed to upholding high standards of cleanliness and service.
Key Responsibilities
Cleaning Duties
- Maintain a consistently clean office environment and all related facilities according to the provided cleaning schedule and standards.
- Ensure all common areas and ablution facilities are clean, tidy, and fully stocked with necessary consumables at all times.
- Keep all kitchen areas clean, organized, and presentable, adhering strictly to the established cleaning schedule.
- Ensure meeting rooms are always clean and properly equipped with necessary supplies like flip chart paper and board markers.
Refreshment Service Duties
- Prepare and serve a variety of refreshments (tea, coffee, etc.) as required by staff and visitors.
- Ensure all cups, mugs, and kitchen crockery are clean and available for use.
- Carefully handle kitchen equipment and report any breakages or losses immediately.
- Serve tea and other beverages according to the provided schedule or as requested.
- Maintain tea stations, ensuring they are neat, well-organized, and fully stocked.
Additional Duties
- Monitor stock levels of cleaning items and consumables, advising management when supplies are running low.
- Provide support to other site personnel as needed and when agreed upon with management.
- Perform any other related duties that may be required from time to time, which could fall outside the immediate scope of responsibility.
- Strictly comply with all Tsebo Facilities Solutions and client company rules, policies, and procedures, including the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
Skills and Competencies
- Strong practical knowledge of cleaning techniques and refreshment service protocols.
- Experience in operating and maintaining associated appliances (e.g., coffee machines, kettles).
- High attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining excellent standards.
- Good organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
- Reliability and a strong work ethic.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Qualifications and Experience
- Minimum educational requirement: Grade 10.
- 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar role (cleaning and refreshment service).
