About the role
The Handyman position at Tsebo Solutions Group is a key support role within our facility management team. You will be responsible for maintaining and improving the day‑to‑day operations of our premises, ensuring that all areas are safe, clean, and fully functional.
Key Responsibilities
- Repair and maintain lighting, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, furniture, and fixtures.
- Follow all safety procedures in line with the Occupational Health and Safety Act.
- Keep work areas and the workshop tidy at all times.
- Record maintenance requests and complete work orders accurately.
- Carry out inspections and planned preventive maintenance tasks.
- Supervise subcontractors, ensuring that they follow safety rules and keep the site clean.
- Prepare weekly and monthly reports and keep detailed records of all work done.
- Deliver excellent customer service and resolve any client queries promptly.
Skills & Competencies
- Knowledge of building layouts, infrastructure, and essential equipment.
- Proficient use of hand tools, power tools, plumbing, and electrical systems.
- Excellent time‑management and ability to handle several tasks at once.
- Strong communication skills and a customer‑focused attitude.
- Capability to work independently as well as within a team, even under pressure.
- Detail‑oriented and strictly adheres to procedures.
Qualifications
- Matric (Grade 12) required.
- NTC level 4 technical qualification is an advantage.
- Minimum 2–5 years’ experience in a similar environment.
