Job Description
We are seeking a motivated Grade C Security Officer to monitor and maintain security operations at client sites, ensuring safety and compliance at all times.
Key responsibilities include:
- Protect employees, visitors, buildings, and movable assets
- Conduct regular patrolling of property
- Monitor surveillance equipment
- Inspect plant, buildings, and movable equipment
- Control access points and permit entrance and egress
- Use sounding alarms and other devices for emergency mobilisation
- Report irregularities and inform violators of policies and procedures
- Control traffic and direct drivers as needed
- Complete detailed reports recording observations, incidents, and surveillance activities; interview witnesses and obtain signatures
- Maintain equipment in working condition through preventive maintenance
- Ensure the security, safety, and well‑being of all personnel, visitors, and premises
- Provide excellent customer service
- Adhere to company service and operating standards
- Remain compliant with local, provincial, and national regulations
- Respond to emergencies to assist employees and customers
- Protect company assets from theft, assault, fire, and other risks

Qualifications
- Grade 11–12 or equivalent qualification
- Valid and renewed PSIRA Grade C registration (mandatory)
- Driver’s license (advantageous)
- Computer literacy certificate (advantageous)
- Minimum 1–2 years’ experience in a similar security role
- Strong observation and communication skills
- Availability to work shifts, including weekends and public holidays
- Physically fit and able to perform security duties
- Extensive knowledge and experience in access control and patrolling within a corporate environment
