About the Role
Tharisa Minerals is seeking a dedicated Transport Controller to join our team. This role is central to our logistics operations, ensuring the smooth and efficient management of transport activities for our various products. The successful candidate will be responsible for day-to-day transport coordination, administration, and communication to guarantee successful deliveries.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage day-to-day transport operations through various communication channels for all company products.
- Oversee daily transport activities to ensure timely and successful deliveries across different transport channels.
- Update and maintain the transport flagged report regularly.
- Request and process ticket amendments from Tharisa mine as needed, and distribute them to relevant parties.
- Save and file Maputo port and Richards Bay slab reports provided by service providers.
- Draft incident reports for review by the Operations Manager.
- Reconcile medical invoices between Tharisa, Arxo, and transporters to ensure timely payments and maintain clean transporter debtors.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Grade 12 certificate is essential.
Job-Specific Experience
- Previous work experience as a Transport Controller is highly advantageous.
- Experience in updating various WhatsApp groups with daily planning and communications.
- Proficiency in MS Office, particularly Word and Excel.
- Familiarity with Microsoft programs and any other software relevant to logistical activities.

- Must be medically fit to perform the duties associated with the role.
