A national medical equipment supplier is seeking a Technical Administrator to join their team in Durban (Durban CBD). The ideal candidate will have 1 – 2 years of experience in a similar role.
Key Responsibilities
- Client Liaison and Call Management: Liaise with customers daily in a professional manner, receive and log breakdown reports, schedule preventative maintenance and upgrades, assign calls to Field Service Engineers, provide feedback, and manage the standby list.
- Preventative Maintenance and Contract Services: Use the Equipment Database/Technical Module to ensure timely PM services for contract and warranty customers, ensuring no services are missed.
- Quoting for PMS, Services, and Upgrades: Prepare and send quotes, obtain pricing, follow up on quotes, maintain records, request signed quotes or purchase orders, and coordinate with Field Service Engineers.
- Quoting for Breakdowns, Repairs, and Room Alterations: Respond to quote requests, prepare breakdown/repair quotes, obtain spare part pricing, follow up on quotes, and ensure documentation is filed and provided to engineers.
- Ad Hoc Quotations and Purchase Orders: Prepare urgent quotes, follow up on purchase orders, and maintain status files.
- Travel Requisitions: Submit travel requests for Field Service Engineers.
- Other Duties: Assist with SCTs, support the Technical Admin Supervisor and Technical Manager, and perform other tasks as required.
Qualifications
- Grade 12 certificate (minimum requirement).
- 1 – 2 years of experience in a similar position.
- ERP computer literacy is beneficial.
- Proficiency in MS Office, especially Advanced Excel, is essential.
