Job Overview

We are looking for a Teacher Assistant to support our Pre‑Primary educators. The role will enhance classroom learning, promote child development, and prepare children for formal schooling.

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Deliver future‑focused education that motivates, inspires, and challenges students.
  • Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and strong character at all times.
  • Build and maintain constructive partnerships with colleagues, parents, guardians, and the community.
  • Communicate and collaborate positively and respectfully with all members of the learning community.
  • Assist in academic delivery, assessment, and reporting.
  • Help manage student behavior and promote a safe, supportive learning environment.
  • Represent and promote the school brand.
  • Support administrative tasks, including paperwork and record keeping.
  • Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Post‑Matric certificate (NQF Level 5) in Early Childhood Development (ECD) or a Level 6 undergraduate degree in ECD or B.Ed. (Foundation Phase).
  • Possession of an SACE certification and a current police clearance.
  • Professional teaching experience: 2–5 years in a relevant setting.
  • Computer and digital literacy.
  • First‑Aid certification.
  • PGCE or equivalent in Psychology is preferred if the degree aligns with curriculum requirements.
