Job Overview
We are looking for a Teacher Assistant to support our Pre‑Primary educators. The role will enhance classroom learning, promote child development, and prepare children for formal schooling.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Deliver future‑focused education that motivates, inspires, and challenges students.
- Demonstrate integrity, professionalism, and strong character at all times.
- Build and maintain constructive partnerships with colleagues, parents, guardians, and the community.
- Communicate and collaborate positively and respectfully with all members of the learning community.
- Assist in academic delivery, assessment, and reporting.
- Help manage student behavior and promote a safe, supportive learning environment.
- Represent and promote the school brand.
- Support administrative tasks, including paperwork and record keeping.
- Adhere to health and safety policies and procedures.
Qualifications & Experience
- Post‑Matric certificate (NQF Level 5) in Early Childhood Development (ECD) or a Level 6 undergraduate degree in ECD or B.Ed. (Foundation Phase).
- Possession of an SACE certification and a current police clearance.
- Professional teaching experience: 2–5 years in a relevant setting.
- Computer and digital literacy.
- First‑Aid certification.
- PGCE or equivalent in Psychology is preferred if the degree aligns with curriculum requirements.
