Purpose of the Job
Our Internship Programme offers a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in the integration of Environmental, Social, and Governance (ESG) principles within the dynamic field of property investment and asset management. This role is designed to provide a comprehensive understanding of how sustainability is embedded into the core strategy of a Real Estate Investment Trust (REIT). You will play a key part in supporting our mission to create sustainable, long-term value for our stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Data Collection & Management: Assist in gathering and consolidating ESG-related data from various internal and external sources. You will be responsible for validating this data to ensure its accuracy and integrity on our dedicated ESG reporting platforms.
- Research & Benchmarking: Conduct desktop research on emerging ESG trends, regulatory updates, and peer benchmarking. A significant part of your research will focus on gathering information to support the Green Building recertification process for our properties. You will also help identify opportunities to improve building performance and enhance our Green Building certification credits.
- Reporting Support: Provide crucial support for our ESG reporting requirements. This includes helping to collate and organize information needed for various ESG disclosure frameworks, ensuring our reporting is transparent and robust.
- Project Coordination: Assist in the coordination and implementation of key sustainability initiatives. These projects may include energy and water efficiency upgrades, waste reduction programs, obtaining green building certifications, and social investment activities. You will help manage project timelines, deliverables, and provide general administrative support.
- Administrative Tasks: Organize and maintain all ESG-related documentation. Your duties will also include scheduling meetings, preparing minutes, monitoring action trackers, and working with the accounts department to process payments according to standard procedures.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Contribute to our ESG communication plans by helping to create awareness and disseminate key messages to various stakeholder groups. You will also liaise with internal teams to provide project updates and follow up on actions.
Experience & Qualifications
- A relevant tertiary qualification in the built environment (e.g., Property Studies, Construction Management, Urban Planning) or environmental science/studies is essential.
- Professional accreditation related to sustainability or green buildings is highly desirable.
- Previous exposure to or experience with ESG concepts, though not mandatory, will be a distinct advantage.

- A genuine interest in climate change, social impact, and governance within a REIT context.
