Tables Dealer – 15 Positions

Job Purpose: The Tables Dealer will serve as the frontline customer service representative on the casino floor, facilitating table games with excellence while adhering to company standards and gaming regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Preparation of Work Area:
- Verify gaming area, table, and float are ready for play.
- Check all operating equipment before shift (shuffling machines, cards, chips, etc.).
- Ensure own section/station is clean and tidy.
- Report any equipment faults or defects for prompt resolution.
- Game Play:
- Deal tables games – blackjack, poker, Punto Banco, baccarat, American roulette, or other games as assigned.
- Handle player transactions – accepting bets and paying out using cash and chips.
- Provide clear, audible game commentary.
- Monitor and report on guest play and action via the casino system.
- Inform the inspector of relevant game information and flag suspicious betting or under‑age gambling.
- Open and close tables responsibly.
- Conduct hand‑over to subsequent dealer or inspector.
- Perform cash‑ups, reconcile float at shift end, and document any float variances.
- Secure and transport float as required.
- Customer Engagement:
- Greet guests warmly, maintain a friendly smile, and acknowledge them at arrival and departure.
- Provide professional service, offering relevant solutions to guests.
- Identify customer preferences and educate them on current promotions, facilities, and products.
- Handle complaints, requests, and suggestions, escalating when necessary.
- Compliance & Reporting:
- Follow all gaming regulations and company policies.
- Adhere to responsible gambling principles.
- Submit accurate reports on float variances and suspicious activity.
Education & Experience
- Grade 12 or equivalent qualification in gaming operations.
- Minimum 1 year experience as a Tables Dealer.
- Minimum 1 year experience in the gaming industry.
- Demonstrated competence in dealing blackjack and roulette.
- Completion of a practical Dealing School is required.
Certifications & Licences
Must meet the requirements for a gaming licence as mandated by South African law, including personal data processing consent under the Protection of Personal Information Act (PIPA) 4 of 2013.
