Job Overview
The Retail Assistant is a key contributor to a welcoming guest experience in the Doppio Zero retail section. The role involves handling cashier transactions, managing takeaway orders, and maintaining high‑standard product displays.
Key Responsibilities
Guest Service Excellence
- Welcome guests with professionalism and friendliness.
- Accurately process takeaway orders and confirm guest preferences.
- Handle payments quickly and balance the till accurately.
Product Knowledge and Sales
- Know all retail items, ingredients, packaging, and usage.
- Explain promotions and encourage guest participation.
- Recommend and upsell products to enhance guest experience.
Merchandising and Displays
- Keep displays visually appealing, well‑stocked, and aligned with the brand.
- Replenish displays regularly, noting stock levels.
- Maintain clean, hygienic areas and remove expired or damaged items.
Stock and Expiry Management
- Use FIFO to manage stock and minimize waste.
- Check expiry dates regularly and act on nearing expiries.
- Adhere to strict labelling standards.
Operational Efficiency
- Package takeaway orders neatly, securely, and per brand standards.
- Report low stock, damaged goods, or operational challenges to the Retail Manager.
- Follow all safety and hygiene protocols.
Team Collaboration
- Work closely with colleagues for smooth operations.
- Assist with shift handovers and communicate important updates.
- Participate in team meetings, sharing feedback and improvement ideas.
Qualifications
- Previous retail, cashier, or guest service experience is advantageous.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational abilities.
- Can work effectively in a fast‑paced environment.
- Positive attitude and commitment to exceptional guest service.
