Our Transformation Office leads change initiatives across all SAMRC campuses and seeks a competent Administrative Officer to support these efforts.
About the Role
This part‑time position is ideal for a motivated and detail‑oriented professional who can manage a variety of administrative and logistical tasks across a multi‑campus environment. You will work closely with the Transformation Office team, supply-chain professionals, and external partners to ensure smooth project execution and effective communication.
Key Responsibilities
- Plan, coordinate and provide logistical support for Transformation Office events, including workshops, consultations, and awareness sessions across SAMRC campuses.
- Manage the complete procurement cycle using the SAMRC JDE system: create requisitions, track purchase orders, and liaise with Supply Chain Management and external service providers.
- Arrange travel logistics, book venues, cater events, and ensure all workshop materials are prepared and distributed.
- Maintain accurate records and databases for transformation programmes, including employee participation and supplier engagements.
- Prepare meeting documentation, take minutes, and ensure timely filing and distribution of records.
- Support communication with internal stakeholders and external partners, following up on deliverables and ensuring deadlines are met.
- Monitor project progress, update tracking tools, and assist with reporting processes for the Transformation Office.
- Perform data entry and processing for key Transformation Office databases.
What We’re Looking For
Required Qualifications & Experience
- Higher Certificate (NQF 5) in Office/Business Administration or a related field.
- 1–2 years of office administration experience, preferably in a healthcare or research environment.
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and strong computer skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
