Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced Code 14 driver to transport goods safely and efficiently. The driver will be responsible for vehicle inspections, document management, compliance with regulatory requirements, and excellent customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform a daily vehicle inspection before each shift.
• Understand and follow Hazchem regulations.
• Check stock against invoices, delivery notes, or collection notes before leaving the site.
• Assist with loading and unloading consumables.
• Help in the warehouse and packaging staging area as needed.
• Ensure the load is secure and damage‑free.
• Drive safely, obey all traffic laws, and follow dangerous goods transportation rules.
• Analyze delivery addresses, plan routes, and keep to the schedule.
• Complete and sign all supply chain transfer documents before leaving the customer’s site.
• Submit required documents (MSDS, TREM cards, COA, etc.) to customers.
• Maintain a logbook and record work hours daily.
• Report any accidents or injuries immediately to supervisors.
• Keep safety equipment (fire extinguisher, placards, triangle) in the vehicle daily.

Requirements

• Grade 12 (Matric) or equivalent.
• Code 14 driver’s licence with a Private Driver Permit (PDP) “DG”.
• Minimum 3 years driving experience with an 8‑tonner or heavier vehicle.
• Valid Hazchem certificate is an advantage.

Nice to Have

Experience with hazmat or specialized chemical transport, excellent customer service skills, and a proactive approach to compliance.
