Job Description
You will manage the daily shuttle service that moves employees, clients, and stakeholders between Seriti Green’s Head Office in Illovo, Sandton, and the company’s office in Bethal, Mpumalanga. The role also covers airport pickups and drop‑offs, fleet maintenance, and ensuring all vehicles are safe, clean and fully compliant with legal and company standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Transport & Shuttle Services
- Operate the daily shuttle between Illovo and Bethal from 6:00 am to 5:00 pm (departure from Bethal at 3:00 pm). All travel is Monday to Friday.
- Pick up and drop off staff, clients, and other passengers at airports or designated locations as needed.
- Drive to alternate venues or company sites according to business requirements.
- Fleet Management
- Keep all company vehicles in good working order.
- Plan and track regular servicing, report mechanical issues promptly.
- Ensure vehicle licences, registrations and road‑worthiness certificates are current.
- Maintain cleanliness, fuel levels and readiness for operation.
- Record mileage, fuel use and maintenance logs accurately.
- Compliance & Safety
- Follow all road traffic laws and company driving policies.
- Ensure safe transport of passengers and goods at all times.
- Complete and update Seriti Green’s safety and journey logs.
- Report incidents, accidents or delays to the Office Manager promptly.
- Professional Conduct & Communication
- Interact courteously and professionally with all passengers and clients.
- Keep passengers and line managers informed of schedule changes or delays.
- Maintain discretion and confidentiality when transporting stakeholders.
Education & Experience
- Minimum Grade 10 (Matric) – Grade 12 preferred.
- Valid South African driver’s licence (Code 8 or higher).
- At least 5 years of experience as a professional driver in a corporate or logistics environment.
- Professional Driving Permit (PDP) – valid and current.
- Clear criminal record.
- Experience with long‑distance shuttle or group transport is an advantage.
- Good knowledge of Gauteng and Mpumalanga route networks, including alternatives.
- Basic vehicle maintenance and road safety protocol knowledge.
- Familiarity with fleet record‑keeping, logbooks and journey management.
