Job Description
We are seeking two motivated and customer-focused individuals to join our team as Shop Assistants / Cashiers at our Clicks Equestria store. This role is central to delivering service excellence through efficient customer service, point of sale operations, and merchandising. The ideal candidate will be a brand ambassador, ensuring a positive and friendly shopping experience that makes our customers feel good.
Key Responsibilities & Job Objectives:
- Efficiently execute all operational activities at the point of sale in a timely manner.
- Accurately scan merchandise and process payments, including handling ClubCard rewards.
- Safely handle cash transactions at all times.
- Proactively promote the Clicks ClubCard and enroll new members to achieve participation targets.
- Inform customers about current promotions to enhance their shopping experience and drive sales.
- Deliver superior customer service by being visible, friendly, and professional.
- Perform merchandising and general housekeeping duties according to store standards.
- Maintain up-to-date knowledge of products, ranges, promotions, and store events to provide customers with accurate information.
- Support the company’s vision and values by being a dedicated team player.
Minimum Requirements
Education:
- Essential: Grade 12 certificate.
- Desirable: Minimum 50% in both Mathematics and English at Grade 12 level.
Experience:
- Previous experience in a customer-facing role within a retail or FMCG environment is desirable but not essential.
Knowledge, Skills, and Competencies
Knowledge:
- Basic mathematical calculations.
- Understanding of retail/FMCG operations, including merchandising and promotions.
- Knowledge of stock management procedures.
- Understanding of customer service excellence principles.
