Position Summary
We are looking for a friendly and reliable Shop Assistant / Cashier to join our team at Clicks Mall of Tembisa. You will report to the Store Manager and help create a welcoming shopping experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Operate the point of sale (POS) system accurately and efficiently.
- Scan items and collect payments while ensuring correct pricing and applying clubcard rewards.
- Handle cash securely and reconcile the till at the end of shifts.
- Promote Clicks clubcard and enroll new members to meet participation targets.
- Inform customers of current promotions to boost sales.
- Represent the Clicks brand with a friendly, professional attitude.
- Maintain merchandise displays and general shop cleanliness following visual standards.
- Share product knowledge with team members and support their development.
- Stay updated on new products, promotions, and store events.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Matric) – Essential
- Basic maths and numeracy skills.
- Understanding of stock management procedures.
- Customer service orientation and good communication skills.
- Planning, organising and problem‑solving abilities.
- Computer literacy (basic use of POS and inventory systems).
