Job Introduction

We are looking for a dedicated Shop Assistant / Cashier to join our team at Clicks Lambton. In this role, you will deliver service excellence through efficient customer service, point-of-sale operations, and merchandising in our store. Your work will help create a positive experience for every customer who visits.

Key Job Objectives

  • Efficiently handle all operational activities at the point of sale, ensuring everything is done quickly and accurately.
  • Maintain high levels of accuracy when scanning items and processing payments, including applying clubcard rewards where applicable.
  • Handle cash safely at all times to protect both the store and customers.
  • Actively promote the Clicks clubcard and sign up new members to meet our participation goals.
  • Inform customers about current promotions to boost sales and help them feel good about saving money.
  • Provide top-notch customer service by being a friendly brand ambassador, staying visible, and offering professional assistance.
  • Carry out merchandising and housekeeping tasks to meet store and visual standards.
  • Support our vision of being the top choice for health and beauty shopping by embodying our company values.
  • Stay informed about products, ranges, promotions, and events to give accurate information to customers.

Knowledge Required

  • Basic math skills for calculations.
  • Understanding of retail and FMCG operations, including merchandising and promotions.

Experience

Minimum Requirements:

Desirable: At least 50% in Maths and 50% in English at Grade 12 level. These subjects will support your ability to manage calculations and communicate effectively in the role.
