Position Overview

We are seeking a motivated person to join our team as an SHE Intern (FTC) at the RCL FOODS Specialty Centurion operating unit.

Key Responsibilities

• Support the improvement, maintenance and monitoring of our ISO45001 management system and standard operating procedures.
• Ensure all HSE processes, procedures and legal requirements are followed.
• Carry out routine safety inspections, audits and create action plans for non‑compliance.
• Conduct planned and unplanned safety inspections and produce inspection reports.
• Verify that fire extinguishers and first‑aid boxes are serviced and accessible.
• Review and update risk assessments.
• Compile weekly, monthly and other required reports.
• Plan and lead emergency response drills.
• Assist in incident investigations and compile investigation information.
• Maintain HSE noticeboards with current information.
• Attend HSE statutory meetings and take minutes.
• Support the CAPA (Corrective Action and Preventive Action) system.

Minimum Requirements

• Matric / Grade 12.
• Diploma in Health & Safety.
• Experience with SAMTRAC (advantageous).
