A vacancy exists for a Senior Energy Consultant to join our multi-disciplinary Energy team in our Johannesburg or Cape Town office. The successful candidate will support the delivery of energy projects, with a focus on multi-disciplinary aspects, business development, and project management.

Key Responsibilities

Project management, including resourcing and financial management, for renewable energy projects such as photovoltaic, wind, battery storage, green hydrogen, energy transition, and mini/micro-grid systems.
Strategic technical advice for decarbonisation roadmaps, including electrification, hydrogen, biofuels, and energy efficiency.
Preparation and review of technical reports, presentations, and documentation.
Bid preparation, business development, and identifying new opportunities to grow the business.
Mentoring and developing junior team members in both offices.

Requirements

B.Eng. or BSc. in Electrical Engineering, with a further qualification in renewable energy preferred.
Professional registration with ECSA required.
Proficiency in MS Office and technical software such as PVSyst, AutoCAD, Revit, DigSilent, MS Project, HOMER, and XENDEE.
Strong financial acumen and knowledge of energy project finance.
Experience with industrial processes and decarbonisation technologies is advantageous.
Skills in business development, team leadership, technical expertise, and contractual management are essential.
