Job Purpose
The role ensures fuel deliveries are executed on time, fully, and safely across the Sasol retail and commercial network, meeting all quality and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the on‑time and accurate execution of all fuel deliveries.
- Ensure reliable deliveries using your own fleet.
- Accurately complete loading instructions (Fuel FACS and Renaissance).
- Conduct pre‑trip inspections and report any defects.
- Maintain communication with the Logistics Command Centre for any deviations.
- Record shipments and submit reasons for gains or losses.
- Execute deliveries according to the required sequence, minimising unproductive time.
- Identify and report potential operational risks, including OHS Act requirements, to your line manager.
- Report all incidents, log them, and participate in root‑cause analysis.
- Prevent spills and contaminations during deliveries.
- Comply with site, operational, and SHERQ procedures.
- Adhere to Sasol policies and procedures to complete tasks safely and accurately.
Requirements
Formal Education
Grade 12 (National Senior Certificate) and the following licences:
- CODE EC (Code 14) driver’s licence.
- Valid Professional Driver Permit (PrDP).
- Hazardous Goods with Hazchem certificate.
Work Experience
2–5 years of driving experience within the petroleum industry.
