About the Role

Sasol, a global integrated chemicals and energy company, is looking for an Administrator to support our mining operations team in Secunda. This entry‑level position requires a proactive individual who can manage administrative tasks, ensure compliance, and promote effective communication across the team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Handle inquiries, schedule appointments, and develop presentations.
  • Attend SHE meetings and deliver environmental awareness presentations to mine personnel and service providers.
  • Book rooms, conference facilities, travel, and accommodation.
  • Maintain scheduling and event calendars, both in‑house and external conference functions.
  • Order and maintain stationery and equipment supplies.
  • Mail documents, newsletters, and other information as required.
  • Prepare and type documents, letters, and reports.
  • Support the review and implementation of Standard Operating Procedures and the ISO 14001 environmental management system.
  • Organise and store paperwork and digital files (e.g., SharePoint).
  • Photocopy, print, and distribute various documents, including meeting notes and routine correspondence.
  • Communicate with internal and external clients, providing information and responses to correspondence.
  • Sort, file, and cross‑reference materials.
  • Analyse data for management reports from different internal and external sources.
  • Maintain hard‑copy and electronic filing systems.
  • Adhere to agreed service level agreements.
  • Assist with inspections of surface and underground operations to ensure legal compliance.
  • Support the mine in managing environmental impacts and compliance obligations.
  • Track key activities, assign findings from audits to responsible personnel, and ensure closure in Isometrix.
  • Compile and submit reports to relevant authorities as required.

Requirements

Education

High School Diploma or equivalent.

Experience

0+ years of relevant experience (no prior experience required).
