About the Role
The Motor Wreck Administrator will manage the settlement of motor claims that are considered uneconomical to repair. The role involves reviewing assessment reports, ensuring correct payment as per policy terms, and coordinating with all stakeholders throughout the claims process.
Key Responsibilities
- Process all motor wreck claims internally and externally.
- Verify the settlement amount against policy wording, terms, and SOPs.
- Confirm the quantum of damage using assessment reports.
- Collect required documentation and vehicle keys for settlement.
- Create salvage cases, arrange vehicle storage, and prepare for payment.
- Communicate with stakeholders every 48 hours.
- Approve payment instructions and load them into the system.
- Identify improvement opportunities and recommend changes.
- Handle escalations, disputes and complaints with clients or intermediaries.
- Close claims once all payments are completed in the claims system.
Qualifications & Experience
- High school diploma (matric).
- Minimum two (2) years of wreck or general claims experience.
- Knowledge of automotive mechanics and body repair (advantage).
- Experience estimating vehicle damage (advantage).
- Formal training in Audatex/Abuntex (advantage).
