Requirements

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent certificate/diploma.
• 3–5 years of experience as a storeman or stores controller in a chemical or manufacturing environment.
• Computer literate – Excel, Word and e‑mail. Willing and able to learn SAP.
• Technical knowledge and experience in store management.
• Experience with inventory handling and stock reconciliation.
• Good communication skills and ability to interact with all levels of the organisation and external suppliers.
• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.

Key Duties & Responsibilities

• Inspect and count all goods received at the site, checking against delivery notes and purchase orders.
• Verify accuracy of specification, quality and quantity.
• Record all receipts in the SAP system promptly and also on Excel where required.
• Assist with expediting opening orders, store issues and driver requirements.
• Co‑operate in regular stock takes.
• Maintain and report on stock levels monthly.
• Support the store manager in storage, labelling and monitoring of stock.
• Ensure all housekeeping and safety procedures are followed.
• Prepare product‑specific reports for monthly production submissions.
• Monitor stock levels and trigger call‑offs when necessary.
• Cover the store manager or driver duties when they are absent.
