Job Purpose
This role provides valuable registry support to the Department of Social Development. The successful candidate will handle a range of administrative duties related to registry services.
Minimum Requirements
- Grade 12 (Senior Certificate or equivalent qualification)
Key Performance Areas
- Deliver registry counter services to the public
- Handle incoming and outgoing correspondence
- Maintain effective filing and record‑management systems
- Operate office machines relevant to the registry function
- Process documents for archiving or disposal
- Have a valid driving licence (Code B or higher) – not mandatory but advantageous. Candidates with disabilities that affect driving, but who have reasonable transport access, may also apply.
Competencies
- Good understanding of registry duties and practices
- Knowledge of the legislative framework governing the public service
- Familiarity with storage and retrieval procedures in an office environment
Skills Required
- Strong written and verbal communication
- Excellent planning and organisational skills
- Problem‑solving ability
Remuneration
R 228,321 – R 268,950 per annum (Salary Level 5). Additional benefits such as medical assistance, housing assistance, and pension‑fund contributions are available as per applicable agreements.
