Job Summary

The Maintenance Storeman will join the Maintenance team in Nelspruit and report directly to the Maintenance Manager. The role focuses on internal procurement, stock control, and ensuring that maintenance operations have the parts and tools they need to run efficiently.

Key Responsibilities

• Take daily and monthly stock counts.
• Order parts and consumables as required and manage stock levels.
• Receive and issue parts and tools to maintenance staff.
• Open and manage job cards.
• Match daily invoices with purchase orders.
• Maintain accuracy of the parts store.
• Assist the buyer with supplier quotes and ordering.
• Perform daily housekeeping tasks in the parts store.
• Provide problem‑solving support for maintenance issues.
• Complete regular replenishment tasks throughout the month.

Minimum Requirements

Qualifications

• Grade 12 completion.
• A formal qualification (e.g., certificate in industrial engineering or related field) is an added advantage.
• Valid driver’s licence and personal development plan (PDP) will be considered an advantage.

Experience

• At least 2 years of experience working in a fast‑moving consumer goods (FMCG) environment.

Skills & Attributes

• Strong organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
• Proactive self‑starter who can use initiative to solve problems.
• Excellent communication skills, capable of interacting with colleagues, suppliers and senior management.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including shifts, weekends (including Sunday), overtime and public holidays as required.
