Job Overview

The Data Capture Clerk will work in our Boksburg facility, reporting directly to the Production Shift Manager. The primary responsibility is to manage the automated back‑flush system for finished goods, ensuring accurate quality checks and correct labeling of Stock Unit (SU) tags. A manual scanning backup system will also be employed as necessary.

Key Responsibilities

• Track planned versus actual production and provide feedback to Shift Production Managers (S/L and OR).
• Record Service Requests (SRV’s) for all packaging materials at the end of each production run and ensure smooth physical transfer to the system.
• Create Stock balances for SRV’s.
• Conduct ad‑hoc tracking and tracing of products.
• Coordinate and perform stock counts with the Shift Production Manager.
• Generate M1 and M4 tags for the respective shift.
• Cycle count packaging material.
• Record end‑of‑shift waste figures.
• Check and correct Stock/Location (S/LOC) for both Process Materials (PM) and Finished Goods (FG).
• Coordinate re‑work of problematic stock, maintaining a clean quality quarantine area and completing all SRV’s.
• Adjust orders according to Cost of Goods Sold (COGI).
• Perform Write‑On and Write‑Off operations for PM and FG.
• Create Pull List requirements for all materials for the respective shift.
• Ensure end‑of‑run cupboards are rotated correctly.
• Consolidate Work Capacity Management (WCM) documentation for the shift, handing over to the WCM Department (5Y’s, OPL, CI’s, EWO, etc.).
• Remove all non‑conforming materials from the hall and wall conveyor.
• Record daily data on the PAMCO sheet.
• Change the SU labeller reel and ribbons as required.
• Capture final goods production data in SmartTech.

Requirements

• Minimum of matric/Grade 12.
• Valid Forklift Driver’s Licence.
• At least 2 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
• At least 2 years of experience using Shopware.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and SAP.
• Strong communication skills.
• Excellent problem‑solving abilities.
• Knowledgeable in SmartTech systems.
• Experience in finished goods management.
