We are currently looking for a dedicated and hands-on Artisan Assistant to join our team at the Speciality Centurion Site. In this role, you will provide crucial support to our Shift Artisan and contribute to the efficient maintenance and operation of our equipment.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric) with a minimum of 50% in Mathematics.
- An N3 to N6 technical qualification will be a strong advantage.
- Practical experience working with tools in a factory or workshop environment is essential.
- At least 2 years of experience in a Maintenance Assistant or similar support role is highly advantageous.
Duties & Responsibilities:
The successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of tasks to ensure the smooth running of our operations. Key responsibilities include:
- Assisting qualified artisans with equipment breakdowns and repairs.
- Performing minor breakdown repairs and equipment installations independently.
- Disassembling and reassembling equipment to facilitate thorough cleaning.
- Carrying out scheduled preventative maintenance tasks as directed.
- Accurately completing job cards to document work performed.
- Performing various ad-hoc duties as required to support the engineering team.
