Role Overview
You will join the Technical Sales department. Your main responsibility will be to support our sales representatives with technical product information, system analysis, and on‑site support. You will work primarily from our Centurion head office and travel to client sites for most of the week. Company transport is provided for each trip.
Key Duties
- Select and specify pumps that meet customer needs.
- Compile technical reports and proposals.
- Guide customers to the appropriate product on a technical basis.
- Provide first‑line technical support and consulting for pump applications.
- Assist with on‑site installation of products.
- Perform system analysis, fault finding, and root‑cause analysis on‑site.
- Support sales representatives in presenting solutions to clients.
- Maintain consistent quality of customer support to meet QA standards.
Requirements
- Strong mechanical or process engineering skills.
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
- Organised and able to maintain various files and spreadsheet records.
- Proficient with computers, especially MS Word and Excel.
- Clear communication skills for both technical and non‑technical audiences.
- Energy, drive, and a self‑starter attitude.
Education & Experience
- B.Eng or BSc.Eng in Mechanical or Process Engineering.
- 0–2 years of working experience.
- Experience with pumps is an advantage.
Other Requirements
- Valid driver’s licence.
- Willingness to live out 3–4 days per week for client visits.
