About the Position
A leading custom manufacturing company specializing in bespoke kitchen, bar, and wine cellar installations is seeking an experienced Production Supervisor to join their team in Sandton. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in factory floor leadership, production control, and quality oversight. Responsibilities:
- Oversee the full manufacturing process of custom projects from start to finish, ensuring alignment with design specifications and timelines.
- Collaborate with factory coordinators to create and manage production schedules.
- Enforce rigorous quality control at all stages of production.
- Monitor material usage and manage stock levels in collaboration with procurement.
- Supervise equipment maintenance and schedule preventative upkeep.
- Continuously assess and improve manufacturing processes.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards.
- Oversee stock control procedures, inventory management, and logistics coordination.
- Maintain a safe and clean factory environment.
- Lead and motivate the factory team; provide training and performance feedback.
- Coordinate daily tasks, monitor workflow, and ensure timely project completion.
- Conduct daily walk-throughs and inspections to maintain quality and efficiency.
- Prepare and submit weekly performance reports to senior management.
- Communicate effectively with internal departments such as design, procurement, and logistics.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a factory/production supervisory role.
- Experience in manufacturing for the cabinetry, carpentry, shopfitting, or interior fit-out industry is essential.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and time management skills.
- Solid understanding of quality assurance and production scheduling.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-demand environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Proactive, organised, and results-driven mindset.
