About the Position

A well-established food manufacturing company in Cape Town is seeking a proactive and detail-driven Production Planner to join their dynamic team. This role offers the opportunity to work in a purpose-driven environment that supplies premium products to a major national retail client and distributes across South Africa.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee administrative aspects of production planning
Track stock and packaging levels
Monitor shipment progress and production timelines using Excel
Coordinate with internal operations teams to ensure smooth workflows
Analyze production trends to improve productivity and efficiency
Ensure adherence to industry and client compliance standards

Requirements

Prior experience in food manufacturing or pharmaceutical production (food manufacturing preferred)
Familiarity with products that have short and long shelf lives
Experience supporting large national retail clients (advantageous)
Strong Excel proficiency is essential
Experience with ERP systems; knowledge of Excite and Pastel is beneficial
Ability to work hands-on in a dynamic, people-focused environment
Compliance awareness and a proactive problem-solving approach
