Forklift Driver

Job Purpose

Manages the loading and unloading of stock within the warehouse, ensuring items are properly stored and ready for distribution.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness and safety of forklifts
• Load and unload trucks safely
• Transport and stack raw materials and packaged goods
• Perform pre‑operation safety checks and report any issues
• Move palletised, packed materials around the site or storage facility
• Verify loads are secure and properly stacked
• Carry out basic equipment maintenance as needed
• Keep accurate records and follow written instructions
• Follow Health and Safety regulations at all times
• Assist with waste management and general housekeeping tasks
• Pick goods and pack stock in the warehouse according to FIFO rules
• Confirm all items are stored in the correct location

Qualification Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• Valid forklift licence

Experience

At least 1–2 years in a similar position within an FMCG environment.

Key Output & Working Conditions

The role is a 6‑day position, usually involving Saturdays, Sundays, and public holidays as per the schedule. Shifts and overtime may be required.
