About the Role
The Assistant Transport Technical will ensure Premier’s fleet is available, roadworthy, cost‑effective and on time each day. You will support fleet maintenance, control, and reporting in a high‑performance environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform routine maintenance and lube services.
- Complete daily fleet check sheets.
- Schedule, book and oversee vehicle servicing and refunds.
- Report all vehicle defects and accidents to the Transport Controller.
- Maintain a clean and organized workshop bay and storeroom.
- Ensure work is documented with job cards and part receipts for sign‑off.
- Remove pre‑ and post‑trip inspection records from trucks and store them properly.
- Complete monthly COF (Card of Finance?) reports.
- Conduct after‑service inspections.
- Maintain tyre stock records and manage recon.
- Control fines and traffic violations.
- Be available for after‑hours breakdown assistance.

Qualifications
- Matric or equivalent qualification
- Valid driver’s license (C1 or EC1 an advantage)
Experience
- Technical background is essential
- Minimum 2 years fleet experience
