About the Job

Premier FMCG is looking for an Assistant Transport General Worker to help keep our fleet running smoothly and reliably.

Main Objective

Keep the Premier fleet available, road‑worthy, cost‑effective, and on schedule every day.

Responsibilities

• Report all vehicle defects to TAC.
• Keep the workshop bay and storeroom clean and tidy before leaving.
• Pick up and return vehicles from suppliers.
• Record any accidents or damages in TAC.
• Maintain pre‑ and post‑trip inspection logs and store them in the file organizer.
• Assist with breakdowns, including after‑hours support.
• Ensure all vehicles are refuelled daily.
• Support the Transport Technical Assistant with minor repairs and breakdowns.

• Strong organising and planning skills
• Computer literacy

Qualification Requirements

• Matric or equivalent qualification
• Valid driver’s licence (C1 or EC1 – preferred)

Experience

• At least 2 years of fleet experience
• Technical background is an advantage
