A vacancy exists for a Payroll & Time Attendance Specialist with experience in the FMCG, Paper & Pulp, or Manufacturing industry. The ideal candidate will have proficiency in Sage 300 or Sage Premier payroll software.
Key Requirements
- 4-5 years of experience in a Payroll Officer role within the FMCG, Paper & Pulp, or Manufacturing sector
- Proficiency in Sage 300 or Sage Premier payroll software
- Advanced Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP, and basic macros
- Strong knowledge of MS Word, Outlook, and PowerPoint
- Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Accounting, HR, Financial Management, or a related field (NQF Level 6-7)
Responsibilities
- Process payroll accurately and efficiently
- Prepare and submit PAYE, UIF, COIDA/WCA, SARS Bi-Annual & Year-End submissions (IRP 5, IT3), and IRP 501
- Comply with and apply knowledge of the Basic Conditions of Employment Act, Labour Relations Act, Income Tax Act, and Employment Equity Act
- Manage Time Attendance Systems
- Calculate wages and deductions
- Prepare and distribute paychecks
- Ensure compliance with company policies and legal regulations
- Address employee inquiries regarding payroll and benefits
- Clean criminal and credit record (verification will be conducted)
