About the Job

The role involves packing completed explosive products in a safe and organised manner. The candidate must ensure that each box is correctly weighed, labelled and sealed according to our safety and quality standards.

Overview

Your main task is to pack completed explosive products methodically to keep them secure. You will weigh and label each box, placing the required glue at the bottom, folding it, sealing with tape, and then wrapping the finished product for shipping.

Qualifications

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent

Experience

• At least 1 year experience in assembling and packaging explosives accessories on an assembly line.
• At least 1 year experience applying occupational health and safety standards in an explosives environment.

Duties

• Pack finished product in boxes in prescribed quantities.
• Weigh and label boxes accurately.
• Keep boxes safe and secure during packing.
• Maintain good housekeeping at all times.
• Work safely, conforming to the Occupational Health and Safety Act and the Explosives Act.
• Meet daily production targets.
• Ensure an uninterrupted supply of raw materials and components.
• Apply a small amount of glue at the bottom of each box, fold, and seal with tape.
• Pack the correct amount of explosives per product count.
• Attach corresponding labels as per product specification.
• Close, pack, palletise and wrap boxes with shrink wrap.
• Transfer finished product to the Magazine and attach correct transfer documents.
