Operator – 3 Positions

About the Job

The operator role covers a wide range of activities across the plant’s operating area. You may work in blending, filling, bulk loading, dispatching, warehousing, or forklift operations. The position supports health, safety, environmental compliance, stock reconciliation, and general plant performance. Your work will help the company meet daily key performance indicators and targets.

Key Responsibilities

• Health, Safety & Environment: Follow company policies, maintain housekeeping standards, and attend safety meetings.
• Compliance: Ensure all operations meet regulatory and internal compliance requirements.
• Forklift & Warehouse Operations: Operate forklifts, stack and pick items, load and unload deliveries, inspect forklift maintenance, and perform routine checks.
• Stock Count & Reconciliation: Participate in monthly stock counts and reconcile raw material usage against production and dispatch records.
• Blending Operations: Conduct tank gauging, set up pipelines, wash tanks, decant additives, handle base oil, and manage isotank offloading processes.
• Filling Operations: Operate filling line equipment, manage empty containers, perform line wash and sample checks, weight items, and maintain filters and Videojet machines.
• Bulk Loading Operations: Verify vehicle tanks, weigh tankers, load product into vehicles, seal tanks, and coordinate pipeline and tankship movements.

Professional Qualifications & Certifications

• Minimum Matric qualification.
• Valid forklift licence.

Work Experience Required

• Experience in blending, filling, dispatching, warehousing, and bulk loading.
• Background in the petroleum (oil and gas) or FMCG sectors.
• Operations, manufacturing, or production experience.
• Forklift operation and driver skills.
• Stock counting and reconciliation experience.

Knowledge & Skills

• Strong numeracy skills.
• Basic computer literacy.
• Understanding of equipment operation and production processes.
• Analytical thinking and problem‑solving ability.
• Experience with warehousing operations.
